Being a photographer was always a dream for me. In 6th grade, I wrote a letter to future Julia detailing my desire to become a photographer and how it'd be "just the coolest thing." It felt so out of reach at such a young age until years later when I graduated college. A week after I lost my dad. I quickly realized how significant photographs are, especially of your loved ones, and immediately set my heart on capturing important memories for others.
Photographs are capable of so much more than simply showcasing an event. They freeze time, transport you to that exact minute, and allow those same feelings to come rushing back, preserving fleeting memories.
For each wedding, my goal is simple: capture each day authentically and eternalize the feelings. From the grand first kiss as a married couple, to the small details of your invitation suite, and the immense amount of love from your friends and family.
My photography style strives to create the perfect balance of documentary style mixed with classic imagery. Discreetly documenting throughout the majority of the day, yet guiding you with poses and telling you what to do with your hands when the time is right. So you can cherish photos of both the genuine moments and the timeless wedding portraits.
My husband and I met in 8th grade, started dating in college, and married on October 2, 2022. We have an adorable miniature dachshund named Daisy.
My family means the absolute world to me. This photo was taken at my Grandma's 90th birthday party and we are so lucky to have celebrated her and this momentous milestone together.
I spend many evenings playing pickleball with Nick and we have the most fun. (He normally wins, but I once beat him 3 games in a row and will never let him live it down!)
Traveling is one of our favorite things to do and we most recently visited my top destination: Italy. It was just as magical as I imagined and dream of re-visiting one day! Next up is planning Nick's dream vacation to Japan.
My dad was my biggest supporter and I miss him every day. He passed away in 2018 and is a huge part of why I am where I am today.
I feel so at home on the beach and near the water. I grew up constantly on the lake with my family, swimming, skiing, & tubing. It's such a nostalgic spot for me.
A few of my favorite things:
- Interior design & home projects
- All things vintage
- Board game nights
- Aperol Spritz
- Friends
- Taylor Swift
- Anything purple
- Hair bows & headbands
